With a degree in Tourism from Bahia Tourism College and an MBA in Marketing & Branding from Salvador University, Lara began her career in the aviation sector, as a trainee at Varig and later at TAM, where she was hired and received the Performance Quality Prize.

Shortly after graduating she moved to London, where she studied English and worked for catering agencies at various events, such as the Silverstone Formula 1 Grand Prix and concerts by global stars like Paul McCartney and the Rolling Stones. She got a job at the Holiday Inn London Heathrow Ariel hotel and lived in London for three years, during which time she visited thirteen European countries. Back in Brazil, she worked at the São Paulo Transamérica hotel, but she decided to move to the event organizing area, where she currently works.

Lara is now a Projects consultant at Pertra, using her know-how in Tourism, Travel and Events to develop projects such as Incentive Trips and Conventions.
