With a degree in mechanical engineering from the University of São Paulo Polytechnic School, Alexandre began his career in finance in 1997, at Itaú Bankers Trust, and went on to do an MBA in Corporate Finance at the São Paulo IBMEC (Brazilian Institute of Capital Markets).

He worked in Brahma’s commercial area from 1999 to 2005, a period which includes the merger with Antarctica and the creation of AmBev (now ABInBev). He was responsible, among other things, for the commercial innovation of processes and technologies, and for taking best commercial practices in trade-marketing, administration and distribution to the operations acquired in Latin American countries.

As an entrepreneur, Alexandre helped to create several companies, notably Cool Cat Travel, from its founding in 2005.

He was president of the eyeglasses chain Carol, sales intelligence director at the drinks producer Schincariol, and is now a partner and advisor at Pertra.
